Dental Health Education
This is a cornerstone of the treatment we provide. Although we can treat dental disease we would prefer to prevent its occurrence in the first place. However long your dental team spend looking after your mouth, it is a but a drop in the ocean compared with the time you spend yourself.
Only you can maintain your oral health with our advice and care. If you do not understand, ask questions. The dental team are here to help you help yourself – use them.

Emergency Treatment
We set aside time both morning and afternoon to deal with emergencies during surgery hours. Where possible please ring early in the morning if you have a dental emergency. If an emergency arises out of hours, telephone the surgery and a recorded message will tell you how to proceed.
Community Involvement
We visit local schools and work with them to raise awareness of dental issues in a fun and informative way. If you would like us to visit your school please contact the practice.
Mouth Cancer Screening
This is done routinely as part of every dental examination. The number of new cases of mouth cancer being diagnosed are rising faster than any other cancer. It is the fifth most common cancer globally and early detection dramatically improves the success rate for treatment.
We actively support Mouth Cancer Awareness Week each year, offering free screenings during this period and have appeared on numerous radio programmes and local television to help raise awareness of the disease.
We took part in a two year pilot study run by the Mouth Cancer Foundation, to assist them in developing a Mouth Cancer Screening Accreditation Scheme to encourage best practice standards in dentistry for early detection of mouth cancer and so improve outcomes for the treatment.
